Our co-founders spent years looking for a way to manufacture silicon anode material that delivered high performance and did not require exotic, high-cost processes and large amounts of capital.
Through persistence and scientific talent, they came up with a material with better performance characteristics than any silicon anode material tested to date, and one that is economical to produce.
Our breakthroughs are paving the way for the next generation of battery cell design – large diameter cylindrical cells – which depend on silicon anode material to achieve their full potential in energy density and fast charge.

Dr. Song Han
Dr. Han is a world-class battery scientist with over 20 years experience in the material and battery industry. He holds 15 granted patents and has over 70 patents pending.
Dr. Sa Zhou
World-class battery scientist, Dr. Zhou has over 10 years of experience in the material and battery industry with 5 granted patents and 10 pending applications. Reporting to Dr. Zhou is a dedicated team of scientists, engineers, and product managers.
Robbie Villemarette
Mr. Villemarette is a seasoned Senior Sales & Commercial Executive with over 20 years of experience in the specialty chemical industry. He has led global sales and business teams for multi-billion-dollar enterprises, including the Lithium Hydroxide sector and its downstream battery and automotive OEM markets. At GruEnergy, he spearheads business development, fosters customer relationships, and formulates commercial strategies.
John Parks
Mr Parks is a Chemical Engineer whose entire career was spent developing and designing processes for new chemicals. He worked 41 years for Albemarle Corp. After retirement from Albemarle Corp as Senior R&D Director in 2017, he taught Chemical Engineering Laboratory at Louisiana State University and is an independent consultant. He holds 12 US patents.
